Education is an essential component of PHDF’s activities. During the flood, the Pakistan Human Development Foundation provided Educational Kits to help children recover from their trauma and ensure that they do not lose their fundamental right to an education despite the catastrophe. The educational packages brought smiles to the children’s faces, demonstrating that education can help children overcome any trauma.
During the floods of 2010, the Pakistan Human Development Foundation provided Education Kits (books, note books, geometry, and school bags) to 100 Jampur (Muhalla Massan Shah and Kotla Mughlan) and Dera Ghazi Khan children (Jhakar Imam Shah, Basti Rindan). These education packages were designed for children in grades 1 through 8.
